Devon Cream Tea

You can’t run a proper Devon tearoom without a proper cream tea, and ours is a thing of joy: two freshly baked scones, a generous pot of clotted cream, strawberry jam and a pot of loose-leaf tea to pour and linger over.

And yes — this is Devon, so the cream goes on first and the jam on top. We won’t judge if you do it the Cornish way, but we might raise an eyebrow.

Perfect after a walk along the beach or the estuary, and easily shared between two if the walk wasn’t quite long enough.
